Participant's Agreement

HEAT USA is a fuel-buying service that enables homeowners and small businesses to obtain premium heating oil and service at a discount. HEAT utilizes the combined purchasing power of its members to negotiate with suppliers. Your price is guaranteed to stay below average retail prices.

HEAT chooses reputable suppliers on the basis of their price, service coverage and service record. We will call you within one business day to confirm the information you have supplied and to provide information about your HEAT supplier. We will also send you a confirmation packet that will include the service contract of your supplier. You should receive the confirmation packet from us within 10 days. Please call our office if you do not.

Remember, HEAT doesn't deliver your oil, provide your heating system's maintenance and repair service, or pay your bills. Only your supplier delivers fuel oil and services your system according to its service contract with you. And only the supplier may be responsible for personal and property damages, if any. By signing this agreement, you are agreeing that you understand this and won't hold HEAT responsible for any damages you may incur for any reason. You also authorize HEAT to represent you in contract negotiations with your suppliers.

You may purchase as much oil as you desire through HEAT, although the service contract will be rendered free of charge only to those customers who purchase all of their oil through HEAT. Your supplier provides oil on an automatic delivery basis.

The supplier may cancel your account if you do not pay bills according to usual business practice. If the supplier does cancel your account for any reason, he must forward an explanation to HEAT. Of course, you may cancel at any time simply by notifying HEAT and the supplier. If you're not satisfied at any time with the service you receive from your HEAT dealer, HEAT will either provide a new dealer, or if we are unable to do so, fully refund your annual membership fee. Cancellations for any other reason are non-refundable.

By choosing accept, you are authorizing HEAT and its supplier to check your credit rating and let credit bureaus know of your performance with this account. Your membership begins when we receive your annual dues and lasts one year. We will renew your membership automatically unless you notify HEAT in writing at least 15 days before it expires.
